This is from today's BBC News:
"A woman who attacked a painting by Paul Gauguin hanging in the National Gallery in Washington DC said the French artist was "evil", court records show.
Susan Burns pounded Two Tahitian Women and tried to rip it from a gallery wall on Friday, officials said.
The 1899 painting, which depicts two women's bare breasts, was behind a plastic cover and was unharmed.
She was charged with attempted theft and destruction of property and is being held pending a mental evaluation.
On Friday afternoon the accused slammed her hands against the plexiglass cover between the canvas and the frame.
'Beautiful, mysterious women'
A museum security officer intervened and detained her.
Ms Burns, 53, from Virginia, told police she thought the painting should be burned, according to court records.
"I feel that Gauguin is evil," she was quoted as telling police.
"He has nudity and is bad for the children. He has two women in the painting and it's very homosexual." "
I can't help but wonder , since she is a Ms, if she is single/divorced and frustrated at being alone. She also justifies it with "being for the children" and she seems to be threatened by the painting of two beautiful young nude women.
I may be reading more into this than is actually there, but I strongly suspect we have another aging AW meltdown in progress

thar she blows

"I feel"
As opposed to "I rationally and objectively think"
Ever since I read about this "I feel" thing I've noticed many many girls say it. And I have never once herd a man say it, ever.
Men don't feel. We analyze data and observe then come to a logical conclusion. Women make statements backed up by nothing and men are expected to shut up and deal with it, or give them an intellectual pass because deep down we know they have the minds of children.

AC101202:
"I feel"
As opposed to "I rationally and objectively think"
Good comment, and may I add:
"I feel, therefore this somehow gives me the right to try and destroy someone else's property, and the hard worked handwork of another man who toiled all his life at his Art. I also have the right to decide that no one else in the world should be able to see it either.......for the children naturally."

men do feel, but as a rule we don't allow feelings to over rule rational thought.
I wonder to what extent the pussy pass will keep her out of trouble. You can be damn sure if it was me destroying the Christ in piss "art" I'd be fucked.

For the children. We sensor TV, we edit music, we can't see bare breasts on TV because all those dumb breeders are too stupid to raise their kids properly. Look to asian culture. Dragon ball featured a small boy naked and underage girls showing breasts and asses. Yet their society isn't collapsing.
This BS idea that children are innocent and pure. What garbage. Anybody who's been on the receiving end of bullying knows that's pure crap. What socially and mentally irredeemable fuck wad came up with this idea?!
And now we have citizens trying to destroy priceless art "for a good cause". Some menopausal bitch who forgot to take her bi-polar medication. Hope she gets a good year in jail to think about what she's done.
Also because of morons like these we have to look at work's of art from behind plexiglass windows.
Uhh!

I would normally agree with you .....but I used this tactic in marriage counseling:Men don't feel. We analyze data and observe then come to a logical conclusion. Women make statements backed up by nothing and men are expected to shut up and deal with it, or give them an intellectual pass because deep down we know they have the minds of children.
"I feel disrespected when you spend loads of money and Im wearing clothes with holes in them because we are broke."
" I feel lonely when I cant get affection let alone sex from you."
The female marriage counselor praised me for being in touch with my feelings and then turned her attention to my wife and told her that she ought to do everything she could to make me happy since 99% of the husbands out there would have divorced her by now. Or just divorce me so I can find someone who will appreciate what a catch I am. Because of that and other events its like I can do no wrong.
The trick is to turn their own tricks and force against them. My wife's hamster is on life support and I might pay the bill if she's nice.

Don't fret. I'm sure Gauguin has received this criticism before - just saying.
You gotta laugh.
Learn to enjoy solitude, it's the only thing you can rely on.
MGTOW isn't a tactic, it's a solution.

The bag lady strikes again ... funny how that "for the children" slogan can be used only by females, eh. Guess all men's got left is to claim acting in behalf of their dicks, or their jobs (or in extreme cases country, race and religion, lol). If I was king, I'd rule that all male kids were raised exclusively by their fathers, and all females by their mothers, bet that would fix a lot of problems later on in life.

I sure wonder why David's statue has never been desecrated by a man who wasn't happy with how he looks.
Oh. Must have something to do with, we don't care that much about what people think of us.

I bet she feels a seething rage at the sight of younger beautiful women hehehe!
Side note, and I quote the title:
Many married women these days still call themselves 'Miss' and use their maiden name.53? Goes by Ms?
Some don't even wear their wedding ring, and it's definitely not because of practical reasons in certain professions (e.g. dentist, food handler etc.)

quote:
"Some don't even wear their wedding ring, and it's definitely not because of practical reasons"
I can think of one practical reason that they don't wear their ring.....lol!
Miss is bad enough if they are married, but Ms always seems to be a hardcore. old school feminist. I wish we could find a photo of her and see if our guesses are close to the mark.
