Equality? Hell no! Girlie-shirt-lifting-toss-pieces such as Sheilas' Wheels disagree with the ruling (see Sheilas' Wheels claim insurance ruling is 'unfair'). BUT only because the ruling spells an end of their business model, despite the fact that their business model appears to be based on women wearing nothing but pink, sporting 1950s hair dos, driving around in American Cadillacs all day, waving a freakin magic wand and are labelled as "Sheilas"?? Personally, what I always found confusing was the fact that when a woman was on my insurance as a named driver my premium actually went down yet my car repair costs went up? The last one that was on my insurance actually cost me over £2000 with regards to damages to my vehicle: a scrape here, a scuff there, a split tyre, a buckled alloy wheel and a smashed up bumper that was the result of using the rear view mirror as a vanity mirror and not noticing that the vehicle in front had stopped! Was it really worth it for that £50 discount? I don't think so!
So at last, men will no longer have to fill the gap with regards to subsidising car insurance for female drivers in the UK. The whole argument that females are safer drivers than men is based on bogus feminist research and profit hungry insurance companies exploiting that bogus research!
However, it is sad that in the past women fought for equal rights and fought to end male exclusivity but with the end result being the likes of Sheilas' Wheels: an example of feminist exclusivity! Well done, however, the party is over!
