In scanning through Ayn Rand's Atlas shrugged I once again am convinced of the dire situation of the formerly great USA. Oh other countries are facing similar situations but this was the country of my birth so the anguish is worse. This is made even more desperate because the world is deteriorating in such a way that I see no where that holds the same potential of what was once the land of opportunity.
